Feedback from the lovely Lynne at last Saturday’s gig:
“It was a fantastic evening and so many people commented on how much they enjoyed Second City Soul. Everyone thought you were brilliant as I knew they would.”
The first few weeks of the 2015 sees our diary starting to fill with a load of recent bookings. Last year was fantastic in terms of gigs and we were truly blessed to have played in front of a load of really wonderful people. This new year looks to be heading in the same direction. Fab! We start the fun off on the 31st January at Akamba in Solihull. A fabulous venue and a great crowd. Why not come and join the party?
We played The Highbury in Stirchley on Saturday night (1st March) and had such an amazing gig. A fantastic live music venue and a great welcome from Frank and the team. The dance floor was rammed from the first note and we couldn’t have hoped for a better crowd. Second City Soul can’t wait till the next gig at The Highbury in September.
Our next public gig is on 23nd November at The Austin Sports & Social Club in Northfield, Birmingham. Tickets are selling fast so git ‘yo ass over to the website to sure you’re not disappointed!!
The total raised for the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance from the “Celebrating Dec” event on Saturday, was £4000 – we think that’s a fantastic amount!! We’re very proud to have been a part of it!!!
Second City Soul play the “Celebrating Dec” fundraiser at the Allen Higgs Centre, Allard Way, Coventry on the 5th October. Friends and family of Dec are hosting the event to celebrate the life of Dec and also raise money for his favourite charity, the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance charity. The day will be packed full of family and fun events concluding with a disco and a set by Second City Soul.
Second City Soul’s next gig is at The Roadhouse in Stirchley, Birmingham on 3rd October 2013. Tickets are £5.00 on the door or available at http://www.theroadhousebirmingham.com/?q=node%2F565
Second City Soul had the honour of providing the funk for Kelly and Tom’s wedding at the Arnolfini in Bristol on Saturday night. In such a fantastic setting, we had the pleasure of playing to a truly marvelous crowd who were up and dancing from the very first note. Kelly and Tom, you looked amazing and all of us in Second City Soul wish you a happy and blessed married life.
It was a great pleasure to be part of Tracie and Gareth’s wonderful day the other night at the Tally Ho in Bicester. You know you’re doing something right when a) the mother of the groom says you’ve made the night for them and b) previous clients are guests at the wedding and still raving about your performance at their own wedding despite it being 12 mths ago!!
We were so blessed to be able to play at James and Hannah’s wedding at the beautiful Ufton Court near Reading the other night. On such a beautiful September day, the happy couple looked radiant and the amazing guests made our job so easy. We had a brilliant time and would like to wish James and Hannah all the best for the future.
